Cirdan the Shipwright is one of the eldest and wisest of the Elves of Tolkien's Middle-earth, appearing in adaptations of The Lord of the Rings and in The Rings of Power. Lord of the Falathrim and Master of the Grey Havens, he is a master builder of ships who keeps the western havens through the Second, Third, and Fourth Ages.
He bears Narya, one of the Three Rings, which he later surrenders to Gandalf, and he fights in the great alliances of the Elves against Morgoth and Sauron.
