Elrond Half-elven is a lord of Tolkien's Middle-earth, portrayed by Hugo Weaving across Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings and Hobbit films and featured in The Rings of Power. Master of Rivendell and bearer of the Elven ring Vilya, he is a healer, counselor, and warrior whose wisdom spans from the First Age to the Fourth.
Father of Arwen and foster-father of Aragorn, he convenes the Council that sets out to destroy the One Ring and long shelters the heirs of Isildur.
