Percy is a Man of Lake-town who works as a porter at the town's Gate, a supporting character created for Peter Jackson's Hobbit films. Loyal and level-headed, he helps Bard smuggle Thorin and Company into Lake-town and survives Smaug's destruction of the town before rallying behind Bard.
Promoted to second-in-command in Bard's army, he fights in the Battle of the Five Armies and leads a company of archers defending Dale against the Orcs of Gundabad. Percy appears in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, portrayed by Nick Blake, and is non-canonical. Chronological details appear in the Timeline.
