Brego is a horse of Rohan invented for Peter Jackson's film trilogy. A bay stallion with a white star on his forehead, he was first the steed of Theodred and, after being calmed by Aragorn in the stables of Edoras, became Aragorn's mount.
He rescues Aragorn from a river and carries him to Helm's Deep, and later bears him to the Black Gate of Mordor. Brego is non-canonical and does not appear in Tolkien's books.
