Gimli
The Lord of the Rings·Fellowship of the Ring·fictional character from J.R.R. Tolkien's legendarium
Gimli, son of Glóin, is a Dwarf of the House of Durin and the only Dwarf of the Fellowship of the Ring. Sent with his father to the Council of Elrond, he volunteers to help carry the One Ring to Mordor and becomes a celebrated warrior of the War of the Ring.
Famed for his skill with the axe and his unlikely, enduring friendship with the Elf Legolas, Gimli fights through Moria, Helm's Deep, and the fields of Gondor, and is later named the first Lord of the Glittering Caves.
