Appo, whose clone trooper designation was CC-1119, was a clone trooper officer who served in the 501st Legion during the Clone Wars. Cloned on Kamino from the genetic template of the bounty hunter Jango Fett, he rose from Clone Sergeant to Clone Commander in an army that fought for the Galactic Republic against the Confederacy of Independent Systems.
As a sergeant, Appo fought at the Battle of Umbara under Jedi General Pong Krell, witnessing and ultimately helping to end Krell's treachery. In the war's final days he commanded the 501st forces stationed on Coruscant. When Order 66 was issued he was promoted to Clone Commander and led the legion, alongside the newly fallen Darth Vader, in the assault on the Jedi Temple during Operation: Knightfall.
