Quinlan Vos was a Kiffar Jedi Master from the planet Kiffu, active during the final years of the Galactic Republic. A maverick within the Jedi Order known for bending its rules, he was renowned for psychometry (retrocognition) — the ability to perceive the memories attached to objects others had touched — which made him a formidable tracker and drew him into missions in the criminal underworld.
Trained by Jedi Master Tholme, Vos rose to the rank of Jedi Master and took Aayla Secura as his own Padawan. During the Clone Wars he served the Republic as a Jedi General and partnered with the former assassin Asajj Ventress, with whom he fell in love. In an operation to assassinate Count Dooku he briefly fell to the dark side as Dooku's apprentice under the alias Admiral Enigma, before Ventress's sacrifice returned him to the light.
Vos survived the Great Jedi Purge and, after the fall of the Republic, founded the Hidden Path, an underground network that helped fugitive Jedi and Force-sensitives escape Imperial persecution.
