Ralo Surrel was a human male pilot who served the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the early Galactic Civil War. A former stunt pilot who flew antique craft for Outer Rim audiences, he joined the Rebel Alliance as a major in Red Squadron, stationed at Base One on Yavin 4, where he often flew as wingmate to Red Leader Garven Dreis.
Flying as Red Eleven, Surrel took part in the Battle of Scarif and the Battle of Yavin. He died during the assault on the first Death Star, sacrificing himself to buy time for Luke Skywalker to complete the run that destroyed the battle station. He was later honored among the fallen members of Red Squadron.
