Grishnákh was an Orc captain of Mordor who led a band of Orcs to join the Uruk-hai carrying the captured Hobbits Merry and Pippin across Rohan. Aware of rumours of the One Ring, he schemed to seize the Hobbits for himself, bringing him into conflict with the Uruk-hai leader Uglúk.
In the source books he is cut down by the Riders of Rohan; in Peter Jackson's The Two Towers he pursues the Hobbits into Fangorn and is crushed by Treebeard. He was portrayed by Stephen Ure.
