Galadriel is a Ñoldorin Elf and the Lady of Lothlórien, counted among the mightiest and wisest of the Elves remaining in Middle-earth. Daughter of Finarfin and wife of Celeborn, she bears Nenya, one of the Three Elven Rings, and sits on the White Council.
Across the Ages she opposes the rising power of Sauron, and during the War of the Ring she shelters and aids the Fellowship, giving gifts that prove vital to the quest, before refusing the One Ring when Frodo offers it to her. She appears in Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings and Hobbit film trilogies (portrayed by Cate Blanchett) and as a central figure in The Rings of Power (portrayed by Morfydd Clark). See the media list for her appearances.
